Board eligible or board certified solo Non Invasive Cardiology physician with office space available in beautiful California community near the Mojave Desert. Call is 10 days per month. Is a 56-bed acute care hospital serving the local and surrounding communities for greater than 30 years. A full service facility, Hospital offers surgical, CCU and obstetric care Emergency services are available 24 hours a day. Modern laboratory and radiological departments support busy inpatient and outpatient services. Recent equipment additions include a state-of-the-art Sopha nuclear medicine camera and MRI capabilities. Medical staff specialties encompass internal medicine, cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics as well as pediatrics and obstetrics. Physicians are supported by a qualified and fully staffed nursing department.
With a population of 25,000, the community is located in the Mojave Desert of California. Established as a rail stop in the early years, it remains a major transportation center and support an area population of 70,000. Strategically placed at the junction of two major interstates, the city serves not only commercial traffic but interstate travelers along this primary entry route into Southern California. Two large military installations contribute to the economic and culture mix of the area.
CLIMATE: The Mojave Desert is remarkable for its clean air and beautiful sunsets. Typically mild California seasonal changes, cool nights and warm, sunny days invite newcomers.
ACTIVITIES: Typical of a small town, many local activities center on the youth of the area. Community sports programs find the many parks and grounds filled to capacity throughout the year. EDUCATION: Twenty elementary, middle and high schools serve the local students. Alternative and improvement programs are integrated throughout to meet special needs of the student population. The school year runs September to June, with summer sessions available. A Community College, a two-year school offers opportunities in vocational and technical skills as well as preparation in the arts and sciences for students planning to transfer to four year programs. Colleges and universities within commuting distance include California State University at San Bernardino, University of California at Riverside, University of Redlands and Loma Linda University.
